We receive the information you provide through our forms and publishing tools, such as your name, email address, manuscript title, description, uploaded files, and correspondence. Our hosting and security systems may record technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, and access times.
Google sign-in
When you choose Google sign-in, we receive basic account information, including your Google account identifier, email address, and profile information made available through the requested permissions. We use this information to identify your account and manage authorized access. We do not receive your Google password. Basic Google sign-in does not give us access to your Gmail messages or Google Drive files.
How information is used
We use information to operate and secure the website, manage accounts and permissions, review submissions, support publishing work, and respond to correspondence.
Information access and service providers
Information may be processed by providers supporting hosting, security, authentication, and communications as needed to operate these services. Google provides account authentication. When configured and used in the private workspace, OpenAI processes manuscript text for import-boundary analysis and Work text or search queries for search by meaning. The public submission form stores manuscripts for review and does not invoke these features. Submitted manuscripts are available to Press Administrators. Private workspace materials are available to authorized users according to their assigned access, including accepted collaborators on shared Books. Information may also be disclosed when legally required.

Retention and requests
Information is stored in our application database, private file storage, and deployment backups. Contact correspondence is handled through email. Retention needs depend on submission review, ongoing publishing relationships, security, and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Some records may need to be retained for legal or contractual reasons, and deletion from active storage may not immediately remove backup copies.
